Pantoloc Control works at the source of the problem, helping to prevent the production of excess acid from your stomach that causes heartburn and other symptoms of acid reflux. An effective treatment for heartburn When heartburn hits, it is caused by acid from your stomach (which helps digest food) travelling up from your stomach into your oesophagus. The lining of your oesophagus is very delicate so when acid from your stomach escapes into it the results can be very painful. Frequent heartburn sufferers will recognise the familiar burning sensation that rises from the stomach, or lower chest, up towards the neck or throat. Many people who suffer from heartburn more than twice a week use antacids to relieve their symptoms. Although antacids are suitable for people who experience heartburn they provide only short-term relief from heartburn by neutralising the acid and not targeting the problem of acid at the source. As antacids are only effective for a short amount of time, sufferers may take many tablets a day to relieve their symptoms. Pantoloc Control is different from most other heartburn treatments available over the counter. It acts directly at the source of the problem and can provide effective symptom relief, both night and day, with just one tablet a day. Day and night relief By working at the source of the problem, Pantoloc Control also provides long-lasting relief from heartburn and other symptoms of acid reflux. Just one tablet a day can provide complete relief from symptoms for up to 24 hours, importantly relieving troublesome night-time heartburn.
Directions
Directions for use of Pantoloc Control 20Mg: The recommended dose is 20 mg pantoprazole (one tablet) per day. It might be necessary to take the tablets for 2-3 consecutive days to achieve improvement of symptoms. Once complete relief of symptoms has occurred, treatment should be discontinued. The treatment should not exceed 4 weeks without consulting a doctor. If no symptom relief is obtained within 2 weeks of continuous treatment, the patient should be instructed to consult a doctor. Special populations No dose adjustment is necessary in elderly patients or in those with impaired renal or liver function. Paediatric use Pantoloc Control is not recommended for use in children and adolescents below 18 years of age due to insufficient data on safety and efficacy. Method of administration Pantoloc Control 20 mg gastro-resistant tablets should not be chewed or crushed, and should be swallowed whole with liquid before a meal.
