Kolanticon Gel is a spearmint flavoured oral suspension that contains four active ingredients that together help to relieve symptoms associated with stomach complaints. The advantage that Kolanticon Gel brings is that it can address a number of the symptoms all at the same time. Kolanticon Gel Oral Suspension contains an antispasmodic, two antacids and an antiflatulent. Collectively, these ingredients provide a multi-symptom approach to relieving IBS pain. The different active ingredients work on different symptoms associated with IBS. The antispasmodic reduces stomach spasms and cramps, the antacids reduce stomach acidity and the antiflatulent reduces trapped wind. The active ingredients include: Dicycloverine Hydrochloride (antispasmodic) - relaxes the muscle walls of the stomach and intestines, thereby reducing stomach spasms and cramps. Aluminium Hydroxide & Magnesium Hydroxide (antacids) - reduces the acid in the stomach which can cause indigestion and heartburn, also reducing the painful effects of acid on an inflamed stomach lining. Simeticone (antiflatulent) - reduces the amount of trapped wind in the stomach and intestines by increasing the size of the bubbles and thereby allowing the bubbles to escape much easier. This helps bring more rapid relief.
