J Collis Brownes Mixture provides effective, warming relief from diarrhoea and stomach upsets, as well as dry and unproductive coughs.
J Collis Brownes Mixture can be used to ease and relieve symptoms of diarrhoea and stomach upsets. It contains a low dose of anhydrous morphine, which takes effect on the digestive tract by slowing down contractions of the intestine and allowing more water to be absorbed from undigested food. It also contains peppermint oil, which relaxes spasms in the gut that may be responsible for stomach pains and upsets. This mixture can also be used to relieve dry and often painful coughs, by supressing the reflex that produces coughing.
